August 16th Grand Opening of The World Trade Center Mall

August, 13, 2016

The World Trade Center Mall is preparing for it’s opening on August 16th, at 12pm 2016. The Oculus Transportation Hub and Mall designed by Santiago Calatrava will sport more than 100 global brands spanning more than 9 city blocks. When complete it will be the largest shopping mall in Manhattan, with a cost of 4 billion dollars. The Oculus, a humplike, spiney structure is 160 feet tall with a futuristic yet somewhat prehistoric look because of it’s spiked dome (featured in the video below).  From inside the building you can see the top of One World Trade Center through it’s Oculus window. This retail and dining destination offers 365,000 square feet of retail space, proudly displaying some of the world’s most recognized brands. It’s restaurants will house world class chefs and culturally diverse culinary styles. Westfield World Trade Center Mall will offer high profile events, technology showrooms and a wide variety of entertainment with a flare only New York can offer. If you are visiting New York City this is a must see attraction. Put it on your bucket list.

City Tales Tours will include this destination in it’s World Trade Center Area Tour.  Click Here for information on our WTC Area tours. See the video of The Oculus – World Trade Center Construction.
